CRAZY popsters SCISSOR SISTERS proved last night that the best things in life are worth waiting for.
The outrageous New Yorkers swept into Glasgow's Barrowland to play the first gig of their European tour after personally picking the venue. And it was a super exclusive show as the gang were playing their new album Night Work, out June 28, for the first time live ANYWHERE.
It's been four years in the making because the original effort was scrapped after pal ELTON JOHN said it wasn't up to standard.
It's paid dividends as the final songs are absolutely superb. But it's not just in the studio that the band have been grafting.
Speaking exclusively backstage before the gig, bicep bulging frontman JAKE SHEARS, 31, said: "We've got our personal trainer on tour with us working us every day.
"You've got to be in shape to do this shit. Scotland is our favourite place in the world, so we're super excited to play the album here first. It was our choice to do it this way."
It was a wise move as the band ripped the roof off after hitting the stage.
They cranked out belting new single Fire With Fire, while other top tunes from the new stuff were rock banger Whole New Way and electro powered Something Like This.
Sexy singer Ana Matronic, 35, said: "We wanted to baptise this album with fire and it had to be Barrowland.
"I had tears in my eyes coming out on stage to the reaction we got."
