Lady Gaga Collaboration - rumour?

Although I think this is purely just a rumour I do think it would be interesting to see what happens if they did work together. Check out the DS article HERE. You never know it may become true, but some sort of official word would be better than hear'say!

More Del Marquis!

Wanting some more from our Scissor Sisters magnificent guitarist Del Marquis. Well here's something to satisfy those needs. Del Marquis features on Bright Light Bright Light's b-side to Love Part II called Cry At Films. It's really really good and is free to download from HERE

The story behind the collaboration:
The story behind Del from Scissor Sisters turning up on ‘Love Part II’ b-side ‘Cry At Films’ is that Rod enjoyed Del’s solo material and informed Del of this fact via the medium of ‘the internet’. They kept in touch and went for dinner when Rod was in New York last year. On the flight home Rod worked on ‘Cry At Films’. “I asked him if he’d be up for doing some vocals, and in the end he gave me a ridiculous guitar solo as well – amazing.”

Vintage Scissors #6

Ok so this looks like it was years ago, but the scissor sisters went back to their beginnings to do a show at the cock a couple of years ago and played some of their awesome goofy demo tracks including Monkey Baby, Backwoods Discoteque PtI and Electrobix.

P.S. I would kill to hear Monkey Baby live at a gig in the future and the photo is one of the earliest photos of the band!

BRAZIL!!!

YES! The sisters are headed to play their first show in Brazil. We're glad to hear that the fans there are going to experience their live shows. ^_^ Now lets hope for some more dates in S.America, Asia and what about New Zealand?! *winks*

They're playing at Funchal in Sao Paulo on November 22nd. Tickets go on sale a week today, on August 23rd, from here

Daily Star Interview.

Here's a wee interview the band did for promotion of the next single!!

SCISSOR SISTERS admit their increasingly provocative use of sexual imagery may have cost them a few fans.

The flamboyant New Yorkers’ new single Any Which Way boasts some steamy, X-rated lines including: “Take me in front of your parents.”

And current album Night Work even features a pair of clenched buttocks on its cover.

Unapologetic frontman Jake Shears, 31, told me: “I feel happier than ever with what we’re doing.

“We’re all really relaxed about it. There’s no other band who could get away with this stuff.

“Our new music was born out of going to these insane sex parties.

“The album cover is provocative and we may not sell quite as many records because of it.

“It wouldn’t be the same if it was a woman’s behind.

“I guess some people love us for who we are, some vehemently despise us.”

Although the more prudish may not approve, the band themselves had a blast recording the new single, which they famously performed live with Kylie Minogue, 42, at Glastonbury.

Ana Matronic, 36, purrs a deadpan rap about her deepest sexual desires towards the end of the track.

Jake revealed: “Ana’s solo in that song was hilarious.

“If you get all the things right in a room for her you can stick a microphone in front of her and she’ll come out with the most outrageous, amazing lines in one go.

“That was all one take, and totally improvised. I was having to try and keep my hysterics in check.” The record was written with Madonna stalwart Stuart Price, 32, who made a big impression.

Jake added: “Stuart has become one of my most favourite people in the universe.

“He’s somebody who I would choose to spend as much time as possible with.”

And Price’s old dance project Les Rythmes Digitales could be making a comeback too.

Jake revealed: “He keeps saying he’s going to make another Les Rythmes Digitales record. I’ve wanted one for a long time. I think he may actually be making one now.”

Any Which Way is out on September 20.
